International Surfing Day 2016 turned into International SUP Day due to wild weather at the beach. 20-30 mph winds forced a change of venue from Croatan surfing beach to First Landing State Park at the Narrows for some SUP time for all. We were able to rent a few SUP boards at the last minute and give many people the opportunity to try it out for the first time. We also held a beach cleanup/trash scavenger hunt for prizes and played some cornhole. The weather, water and participants at the Narrows couldn't have been more perfect for this event.
