Defeated TX Bills Granting Starbase Primary Authority to Close Boca Chica Beach, Expanding Basis for Closures

Victory: Prevented passage of SB 2188 / HB 4660

Senate Bill 2188 (A. Hinojosa) and companion House Bill 4660 (Lopez) would have granted authority to the new company town of Starbase to close the highway to Boca Chica and the beach itself for any "space flight activities", including research, development, rocket making, etc. - activities that take place regularly onsite.
